BMC Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 80 MPHW, Executive Engineer Posts

A combined 80 posts are on offer across three cadres. Here’s the category-wise breakup:

Qualification requirements differ by post, and must be held as on the last date of application.

All three posts start with an initial fixed/probationary pay period, moving to the regular 7th CPC Pay Matrix level after satisfactory service.

The fee is the same across all three posts, and must be paid at a post office using the challan generated after online submission.

Base age limit differs by post, calculated as on the last date of application.

Selection is through a Written Examination and/or Oral Test (Interview), with weightage varying by post:

1. Shortlisting: The BMC Selection Committee decides a cut-off percentage based on vacancies and applications received, and prepares a merit list. Only shortlisted candidates get a call letter.
2. Written Exam / Oral Test: Conducted in Gujarati by default (English medium for English-subject questions), with the exact medium decided based on the post’s core discipline.
3. Final Merit – Executive Engineer: If both stages are held, Written Exam counts for 90% and the Oral Test for 10% of the final merit.
4. Final Merit – Sanitary Sub Inspector & MPHW: Based on 100% of the result of whichever stage(s) are conducted.

Keep these ready for document verification, which happens only when BMC calls for them:

• Original mark sheets (all years/semesters) with self-attested copies from a recognized university/institution
• Experience certificates (certificates from a College Principal are not considered valid)
• No Objection Certificate, for candidates already in Government/semi-Government service
• Ex-servicemen service-period certificate from the District Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Office, where applicable
• PwBD certificate (40%–75% disability) from a Government hospital Superintendent/Civil Surgeon/Medical Board, where applicable

Applications are accepted only through the OJAS portal. A separate application and separate fee is required for each post. Follow these steps:

1. Visit ojas.gujarat.gov.in and click “Apply Online.”
2. Click “More Details” to review the full advertisement, then “Apply Now.”
3. Select your target post (Executive Engineer/Sanitary Sub Inspector/MPHW) to view vacancy details, then click “Apply Now” again to open the Application Format.
4. Fill in Personal Details (mobile number and email ID are mandatory), Educational Details, Additional Qualification, and Experience Details.
5. Complete the Additional Information and Self-Declaration sections, then click “Save” to generate your Application Number.
6. Use “Edit Application” for any corrections — no changes are possible after confirmation.
7. Upload Photo (5cm x 3.6cm) and Signature (2.5cm x 7.5cm) in .jpg format, each under 15 KB.
8. Preview and click “Confirm Application” to generate your Confirmation Number — the application isn’t valid without this step.
9. Click “Print Challan,” print the fee challan, and pay the fee at a nearby post office by 17 September 2026.
10. Retain the confirmed application printout and paid fee challan; submit these only if and when BMC specifically calls for them.
