Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2027 course. Through this recruitment drive, unmarried male and female candidates can join the Indian Navy under Permanent Commission in the Technical Branch after completing Class 12.
A total of 60 vacancies have been announced for Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering branches. Selected candidates will undergo four-year B.Tech training at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. The entire cost of training will be borne by the Indian Navy, and candidates will also receive a B.Tech degree awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) 2026 and secured a valid Common Rank List (CRL) rank can apply online from May 29, 2026, to June 18, 2026, through the official Indian Navy website.

Age Limit
Candidates must be born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- The age criteria are the same for male and female candidates.
- No age relaxation will be provided under any category.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary Examination) from a recognized board
- Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)
- Minimum 50% marks in English in Class 10 or Class 12
- Appearing in JEE (Main) 2026 is mandatory
JEE Main 2026 Requirement
Shortlisting for the SSB Interview will be based on the All India Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE (Main) 2026 released by NTA.
- Candidates must enter their JEE Main 2026 CRL Rank in the application form.
- Candidates who have not appeared in JEE Main 2026 will not be eligible for shortlisting.
Selection Process
The selection process for Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2027 consists of the following stages:
Stage 1 — JEE Main 2026 Based Shortlisting
Naval Headquarters will prepare the cutoff based on JEE Main CRL ranks.
Stage 2 — SSB Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB Interviews at:
- Bengaluru
- Bhopal
- Kolkata
- Visakhapatnam
SSB Interviews are expected to begin from September 2026.
Stage 3 — Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by the SSB Board will undergo a detailed medical examination.
Stage 4 — Final Merit List
The final merit list will be prepared based on:

- Medical Fitness
- Police Verification
- Character Verification
Application Fee

SSB Travel Allowance
Candidates attending the SSB Interview for the first time for this type of commission will be eligible for AC 3-Tier Rail Fare reimbursement.

Important Instructions
- Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible.
- Marriage during training is strictly prohibited.
- Candidates marrying during training may be discharged from service and required to refund training expenses.
